About Ryerson University

After World War II, there was a significant need for trained tradespeople, leading to the founding of Ryerson University. It was founded as a postsecondary facility that provided technical instruction combined with academic theory in subjects like architecture, photography, costume design, and other related professions.

What is the Scholarship Summary

A renewable entrance scholarship is provided to secondary school students in Canada and international students who complete the eligibility requirements and have final averages of 86% or better.

Ryerson Entrance Scholarship Eligibility Criteria

Students must meet the following criteria in order to be considered for the guaranteed and renewable scholarships:

  • For one to be eligible he must be currently enrolled as a full-time secondary school student ( that means he must have a least of three or more Ontario Grade 12 U/M courses, or their equivalents in other Canadian provinces or abroad, during the regular secondary school year 2021–2022.
  • He must have a minimum admission average of 86% and above
  • have maintained a full-time enrollment (no gaps in full-time attendance prior to the 2022-2023 regular school year)
  • Be enrolling as a first-time student at a postsecondary institution
  • have consistently attended a secondary school full-time.
  • have filed a complete and accurate application for admission to the program for which the scholarship is being offered by September 1, 2023.
  • This award is open to Canadian citizens, Canadian permanent residents, Canadian protected persons, and international students.

 Scholarship Value 

The Ryerson Undergraduate Guaranteed Entrance Award is valued as follows;
  •  Admission Average of 95%: CAD$4,000
  • Admission Average of 90 – 94.99%: CAD$2,000
  • Admission Average of 86 – 89.99% – CAD$1,000
    All grants are renewable, and the scholarship amount is to be shared evenly between the autumn and winter semesters.

International Secondary School Merit Scholarship

The International Secondary School Merit Scholarship is for you if you are an international student entering your first year of full-time study at Ryerson University with the intention of pursuing a four-year undergraduate degree program and you exhibit academic excellence, dedication to volunteer work and extracurricular activities, and leadership abilities.

THEREFORE YOU CAN APPLY FOR THIS SCHOLARSHIP!

The International Secondary School Merit Scholarship is given to seven students at the entrance and is not renewable. Each student receives $5,000.
