Full-time high school seniors with financial need (family income under $65,000) who have shown integrity and perseverance in overcoming adversity, a commitment to pursue a post-secondary education, a desire to contribute to society, and a strong academic record are given scholarships of up to $10,000.
One application must be submitted if you want to be considered for both the Entrepreneurial and Canadian Scholarships. The Association will consider you for any programs for which you are qualified using the same application.

Application Date
In order to fill the current class of scholarship recipients, a special application period is open. Students who are already in Grade 12 may apply between September 15 and October 31, 2022.
How to Apply
Only one application must be submitted if you want to be considered for both the Entrepreneurial and Canadian Scholarships. The Association will consider you for any programs for which you are qualified using the same application.

Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship Eligibility
In order to be considered for the Horatio Alger Canadian Scholarship, candidates must fulfill the requirements listed below:
- Be enrolled full-time as a Grade 11 high school or first-year CEGEP student in Canada.
- Show a genuine desire to enroll in and complete a bachelor’s degree program at a university that is accredited.
- Establish a pressing financial necessity (A family’s net annual income must be no more than $65,000)
- Show a drive for and capacity for entrepreneurship in the field of your choice.
- Participate in extracurricular and volunteer activities.
- Show honesty and tenacity in overcoming challenges.
- keep your grade point average at least at 70.
- Becoming citizens of Canada
