About the Scholarship

The University of California system consists of ten campuses, five hospitals, and three interconnected national laboratories. The Office of the President in Oakland, California serves as the university’s administrative hub.

The African Legal Impact Scholarship was established to encourage enrollment of African students seeking advanced legal education at the University of California, Berkeley.

Due to a serious lack of money, the African Legal Impact Scholarship can only be given to two qualified applicants each year.

 Scholarship Worth

It is a waiver of the full tuition. The only costs the recipients will be liable for are the $1,000 seat deposit and any related travel and lodging costs.

NOTE THAT: Before the program begins, all scholarship awards are decided upon. After enrolling and starting the program, students are not eligible for any more financial aid. Before enrolling at Berkeley Law, students should make financial arrangements so they can pay for tuition, transportation, and housing. Once students get at Berkeley Law, there won’t be any more financial aid available, and jobs on campus are few and low-paying.
